Nice resort, close to airport, our key stopped before we were to check out and we had to have it reprogrammed, we enjoyed walking on the beach and beach lounge chairs. Nice to take a shower before the flight. It was convenient and pleasant.

The communication from the staff about the included amenities was misleading. Was told while checking in that we were “welcome to enjoy the continental breakfast.” Went to the venue, checked in with hostess who said “you have the choice between continental breakfast and a [deluxe] breakfast.” We each had a small plate of eggs and chicken sausage and then were brought a bill for $33 each. We discussed with the front desk and they apologized for the misleading communication but did not adjust our bill. The day use room smelled gross. A musty, maybe smoky smell. All in all, this hotel was nice but I would not return nor would I recommend others using this hotel for their stay.

Had a truly fantastic time at the Royal Sonesta, the check in staff knew me by name immediately (I was very impressed by this as some other hotels have no idea what I was actually doing with a ‘day use’ booking). We were swiftly checked in and in the room moments later. We had had a long journey and had 5 hrs before joining our cruise and so this was perfect for what we needed. The cost (per hour) isn’t cheap but I can’t put a price on being able to relax, lay down in a comfy bed, rest and shower before heading out again. Would recommend anyone to stay here - was genuinely impressed from check in to check out. Thank you!

Reception agent cold and unfriendly. Bellboys just locked on as my wife struggled to carry the suitcase up the stairs to check in desk. I even wonder what they were there for. Rest of staff at beach and restaurants friendly.

One thousand percent would recommend the day pass! The staff was welcoming and attentive and the property is beautiful and clean. The lack of actual changing rooms is my only complaint but wouldn’t take a star away as everything else was perfect. I had to change in the bathroom. Not possible to “freshen up” appropriately before my flight. Despite that, I would still go back over and over!
