Colorado Springs, Colorado

From the dazzling beauty of soaring sandstone to a mountain that hosts a zoo (and possibly the Stargate), Colorado Springs has plenty for a day visitor to experience. Give our suggestions a look to find out some of the city’s best ways to spend a day.

Our Colorado Springs Day Stay Recommendations

  • Global Menu – Fine dining can be had at The Rabbit Hole, whilst Springs Orleans offers New Orleans style Cajun-Creole cooking. Mexican, Middle Eastern, Italian, French and more can be found, if you fancy trying other culinary flavors.
  • Garden of the Gods – The Garden of the Gods is a huge park of more than a thousand acres, within which visitors can enjoy trails winding their way between majestic soaring sandstone formations. The hiking trails offer stunning views, and the facilities are dispersed throughout the park to ensure hikers never have far to go if they want a rest.
  • Museums – History buffs can absorb a lot at the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum, a large site that is dedicated to regional history, including Native American culture, artwork, and temporary exhibits (not to mention free admission). Art aficionados can while away the hours perusing the extensive collection of American artwork at Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, and there’s the option of visiting the center’s performance theater if you’re a fan of live entertainment.
  • Cheyenne Mountain Zoo – Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is a mountainside animal park whose residents include the largest giraffe herd in the world (and you may well have the opportunity to feed/pet the giraffes). Other intriguing animals include grizzly bears and monkeys, lions and elephants, so whether you prefer gentle giants, cunning predators, or mischievous monkeys, you’re in luck.
