NY TechDay, Consumer Products Event, and HotelsByDay

NY TechDay, Consumer Products Event, and HotelsByDay - nytechdayfeature

We love meeting our fellow entrepreneurs whenever possible. The ability to network with some of the greatest minds in the tech world and cutting-edge consumer product companies is made easier by being based out of New York City. Meeting leaders in a variety of industries provide a better understanding of what people need today. And learn what will be useful in the future. Last week was one of the best opportunities to mix, mingle, and learn from our forward thinking colleagues thanks to two touchstone events. Of course, anyone traveling for a day conference or event would be best served by booking a day stay hotel with HotelsByDay. But being New York locals, we just pre-booked a car with Flitways.

NY TechDay

The sixth annual NY TechDay returned to the Big Apple on April 18 at Pier 94. This is touted as the biggest startup event in the United States. It brings together over 575 startups running the gamut of services and products. And over 35,000 members of the tech community. We are proud to be a part of such an exciting event focused on innovation. NY TechDay continues to branch out in unexpected ways. Demonstrations ranged from the usual breaking apps and online services to pet care and home furnishings.

The tech industry giants intermingled with fledgling companies in a spirit of camaraderie. We saw old friends and met some new ones. The social aspect of NY TechDay is one of the reasons we love joining this event. Exchanging the latest info and catching up on what’s new with our colleagues makes the event fun and informative. We were pleased to have run into our good friend Jitendra Muchhal of StarLit Global Inc. He shared his unique experience with an entertaining article featuring a teen who traveled many hours to get his fashionable accessories viewed by movers and shakers.

The event sponsors alone pack a heavy hitting punch: Amazon Web Services, Columbia Business School, and UPS to just name a few. The accelerators included Founder Institute, DreamIt, and Venture Out. The ability to match businesses with vision-oriented funding makes this event imperative for every entrepreneur. HotelsByDay always looks forward to joining NY TechDay and this year was better than ever.  Can’t wait for the next one!

Consumer Products Event

On April 19th, over at Morton’s Midtown, the best and the brightest in consumer products were joined by reporters from all over the country. The Consumer Products Event is the place to be seen because media outlets have their top-shelf scouts looking for the next big thing. The whole event is aimed at connecting consumer packaged goods with the press. It was created by Alyson Dutch, a product PR expert, and author of the PR Handbook for Entrepreneurs. The event paves the way to getting newer products connected with influencers who can help increase sales. What traditionally costs tons of money, a lot of time, and even more meetings, has been distilled down to one important afternoon.

HotelsByDay rubbed shoulders with businesses from every avenue of commerce. Even germ-preventing handbag technology? That’s a resounding “yes.” What about a gardening tool that prevents over 1,000 garden hose accidents sending folks to the hospital each year? Yes, again. In addition to the amazing exposure, we learned about the products that are changing the world and making it safer. And we love meeting the people responsible for bringing innovation to life. We’ll be seeing them all at the next Consumer Products Event.

HotelsByDay is excited about joining these entrepreneurial events bringing people together. Attending events is the most direct way to stay abreast of the latest trends, and, our day booking hotel room platform helps make it happen. A day stay hotel is a convenient and cost-efficient way to attend every NYC conference and event!
